The tea-length wedding dress, made for you. April and October in the Westhouse Hotel, midtown Manhattan.
Twice a year — every April and every October — we cross the Atlantic with our full bridal collection and set up in Manhattan for a few days of private appointments. Short, vintage-inspired wedding dresses and rehearsal dinner gowns, designed and made in our British atelier, brought to American brides since 2014. If you’ve been quietly searching for something that isn’t a strapless ballgown, you’re in the right place.
What we do
We make tea-length wedding dresses. It is, very deliberately, the only length we specialize in.
Tea length is the silhouette that defined the most elegant weddings of the 1950s — Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, the back pages of every American wedding album of that decade — and to our eye it remains the most flattering, most wearable, most genuinely sophisticated length a bride can choose. It moves. It photographs beautifully. It lets you wear the shoes you actually want to wear. It doesn’t require six bridesmaids to get you down the aisle.
Every dress in the collection is vintage in spirit and contemporary in fit. Real lace from the mills that supply the European couture houses. French tulle. Silk linings. Hand-finished beading. Bodices structured by people who understand a wedding dress has to hold you for fourteen hours, not fourteen minutes on a runway.
We make rehearsal dinner gowns to the same standard, for the brides who want a second moment.
Why House of Mooshki
Every dress is made to your measurements, in our own atelier. Nothing is mass-produced, nothing is bought in. The dress you order at the trunk show is cut for you, fitted for you, and finished by the people who designed it.
That means real customization, not the bridal-shop version. Sleeves added, necklines reworked, length adjusted, fabrics swapped, color tones shifted from white to ivory to oyster to something we mix specifically for you. If you can describe it, we can usually make it. We’ve spent more than a decade learning where the line is between “personalized” and “compromised” — and we don’t cross it.
You’ll work directly with the design team during your appointment. Not a consultant, not a stylist on commission. The people who will actually make the dress.
Who we dress
The bride who’s been to a lot of weddings and knows what she likes. The bride who’s marrying somewhere small and considered — a city hall, a private dinner, a garden, a chapel, a quiet ceremony in front of the people who matter. The bride marrying for the first time, the second time, the right time. The bride who wants to look like herself on the day, only a little more so.
What unites our brides isn’t an age or a budget — it’s a particular kind of taste. Restraint over spectacle. Cut over volume. A dress they’ll still love in the photographs in twenty years.
The Trunk Show Experience
We’re in Manhattan every April and every October with our collection. Appointments are private, ninety minutes, and capped at a small number per day — partly because the space is intimate by design, partly because this isn’t the kind of decision that should be made between two other brides on either side of you.
You’ll see and try dresses in the collection, talk through the customizations available, and — if you find the one — place your order with us in person. From there, the dress is made in our atelier and shipped to you in plenty of time for your final fittings.
A few practical notes before you book:
- Appointments are 90 minutes, by reservation only. We recommend bringing one or two guests — three at the absolute maximum
- Lead time from order to delivery is typically four to six months, so an April appointment suits a fall or winter wedding, and an October appointment suits a spring or summer one
- A deposit is taken at the appointment if you’d like to place an order
