Our 2021 Collection is finally available to view on the website! What a year it’s been hasn’t it? Life has changed so much in the space of a few months but the show must go on. And go on it has in typically elegant, cute and girly Mooshki style.
This year’s collection should have been released at our show in March but we all know what got in the way. However it was a blessing for us as we edited the collection down, changed a few things, did what designers do and changed our minds many, many times.
Naturally, we had to have a few blush dresses in the collection. We decided this year to bring in a couple of other colours too. We felt the bridal world was ready for some colour. We created a couple of styles in an amazing Italian satin fabric with a beautiful drape and we just knew it was going to be a stunning wedding dress.
These designs which became Cassandra and Maddie were missing something though. In a flash of inspiration took the huge overskirt from Blake, placed it over the high low and ballerina length dresses and the collection was finished! The images are stunning and take the whole feel of the collection to another level.
Another Mooshki staple design is the spotty dress and this year, we have lots to fall in love with. Released on our Instagram TV channel, Josie was adored universally. Ivory with a ballerina length skirt and satin bands around the collar, cuffs and hem, she’s a delightfully vintage inspired wedding dress. Very us but very contemporary and certainly a hit with all our fans.
Other fabrics we’ve worked with in this collection are our carefully chosen laces, appliques and the Italian satin already mentioned. Pleated tulle is used on Missy, Natalia and the beautiful Angelina. Angelina is a strapless ballerina length wedding dress with a tiered skirt and beaded lace applique. She’s reminiscent of the golden age of Couture in the 1950s and simply delightful.
